From enthralling 60,000 people on stage with her brand of music to entertaining MTV India's 23.5 million viewers, life's been a roller coaster ride for the multi-talented and stunning Sophie Choudry.

 

A linguist she speaks English, Hindi, Urdu and French, She sings in all these languages as well as in Spanish, Punjabi and Arabic. A performer from a young age, singing and acting were always a major part of her life.  MTV’s hottest and most popular female VJ Sophie was discovered by the acclaimed music director Biddu when she was 13-years old. Singing seemed like an obvious choice of profession for the warm, honey-toned Sophie!

Sophie was born in UK, studied European Politics and French in Paris and graduated from the London School of Economics. She has trained in classical Indian dance, Bharatnatyam, Kathak and has been avidly learning Salsa from Salsa Guru Kaytee Namgyal and Belly Dancing.  She is as comfortable listening to Asha Bhosle, Jagjit Singh, Mohammed Rafi as to Amr Diab, Elissa, George Michael, Shakira,  Beyonce, Kylie, Celine Dion and Enrique.  Her inspiration, however, was always (the Late)  Nazia Hassan.  Her father adored Sophia Loren and hence her birthname is “SOPHIA”, however she now goes by the name “Sophie”.

Sophie’s Qualification: -
She is Graduate from London School of Economics, specializing in European politics and French. Sophie, Gold medalists from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She is professionally trained singer and dancer .
