Of those that do, most drop out by the age of 12 simply because their schools have no toilets. For some it is because there is no middle school in their village and parents are reluctant to send them outside the village. Sometimes they are forced to stay home to complete household work and take care of their younger siblings.

CRY works to eliminate the root causes that compel children to work, to drop out from schools, to remain malnourished and exploited. It creates awareness among communities about the government schemes available to them and then uniting them to demand their rights from the local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
CRY with 200 NGO partners, in 5000 communities and with support of 1.5 lakh citizens like you has sent over 2 lakh children to school.
In 2008-09,
Madame joins CRY, through Project Award, to bring an irreversible change in the lives of children. The project forms women collectives to address the issues of right to education, health awareness, child marriage abolition, single mother parenting and widow pension.
Part proceeds from your purchase goes to support CRY-Child Rights and You to ensure children their right to live, learn, play and develop.
